3d printed geometric eco friendly plastic & real moss pendant necklace, stabilized lichen; bio vegan gift nature inspired sustainable environment green plants. The main part of the pendant, color white, is made of 3d printed eco plastic, obtained from corn starch; this materia l is also called PLA (Polylactic acid) and is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources. We 3d print this material using a technique called fused deposition modeling (FDM). FDM works on an "additive" principle by laying down material in layers; a plastic filament is unwound from a coil and supplies material to produce a solid and resistent object.

The green part of the pendant is made in real moss. It is in fact a lichen that comes from Scandinavia, treated with a drying process and then colored with natural pigments so that its color and texture doesn't change with passing times. The treated moss mantains its natural softness simply by being exposed to normal levels of humidity of the air.

The pendant is 1,5 inches width, 1,33 inches in lenght and 0,55 inches high.

The pendant comes with a 40 inches long nickel free metal chain; you can easily make it shorter by cutting it and closing again it with the "military style" hook provided with it.

Maintenance: the treated moss, if kept for long periods of time in a closed bag, without air, tends to become dry; if so happens you just need to expose the moss to air out of the bag, in a common environment, such as a room of your house.
The white part of the pendant can be delicatelly washed using a cotton bud drenched with water and soap.

Absolutely love the design and the way both natural and man-made materials fit eachother. I always wanted a necklace that showed the cohabitation of both nature and modernity and I'm in love with it! One advice I could give is maybe separating the chain from the moss as the chain tends to rub against it when wearing it, other than that I'll definitively buy again from this seller. Thanks!
