This custom colored leather wrapped hip flask is a perfect Fathers day gift idea! The leather is stamped by me. (not machine engraved! These are hand stamped!) These are of higher quality than most flasks on Etsy where most of the work is done automatically by a machine.

This Flask comes with the quote that is pictured in the first photo! I do have many other funny sayings and quotes so please check my shop for other ones. I can also add initials or name or date or something just please contact me about what and where you'd like it.

The leather is stamped first then dyed to the specific color you have chosen form photo 5 above (multiple flask orders feel free to mix and match colors) Once it is coated with a weather proof, I adhere the leather to the 6 oz stainless steal hip flask and then hand sew a corset stitch down the back which not only secures the leather to the flask, but gives it a more upscale yet rustic feel.

Each flask comes with a nice cotton draw string bag. You may also upgrade each flask with a funnel which is just 2 dollars per flask. I do recommend adding the flask just because as much as I weather proof the flasks, they will get wet and dye can fade from liquid and oils from your hands but that is what makes a handmade item awesome!

I ordered this for my fiancé as a wedding gift, my design came out perfect. The leather is stitched and secured on very well, the image is clear and detailed. My only complaint is the dye, I ordered mahogany, when I was rinsing out the flask I got a little drip of water on it. I noticed my finger had a pink tinge, I ran the flask under cold water to make sure that it wouldn’t turn my fiancés pants or shirt pink at the wedding, the dye ran right out of the leather, it ended up a light mauve color when it dried. I brewed a few ounces of very strong coffee and brushed on close to 10 coats of coffee letting it dry between coats, it turned the leather brown and looks better. While I’m not too upset personally, I could see this upsetting someone that doesn’t have the time or patience to fix it. I would buy again in a lighter color.
