This is a PATTERN ONLY for a crochet bookmark made with a crochet steel hook 1.25 mm and a small amount of crochet cotton thread size 10 (such as Aunt Lydia's)

The finished bookmark measures about 8 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.

This pattern can also be used as a beautiful lace edging or trim. Simply crochet until your have a lace ribbon of desired length.

The skill level of this crochet project is intermediate. This pattern involves treble crochets and double treble crochets, as well as double treble clusters. If you have any questions about the pattern or need help with it, just contact me. I'll be happy to help.

Very pretty, and once I got the hang of each section it worked up quickly. I wish there was a shortcut pattern for referring to, but it was easy enough to make my own. Also I think someone with arthritis would struggle a bit, but that's not a fault of the pattern, just the nature of small, tight repetitive cluster stitches. I will be making duplicates in the future!
