ITEM DESCRIPTION

Up for sale is a Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Thick Aviator Type Temple of unknown MPN. This temple has a glossy black finish. This temple has an Aviator type hinge. This temple is one of several one-of-a-kind temples with an unknown MPN that I have. Since I don't know what the MPN is, you will have to rely on the pictures and my measurements. To assist you in determining if this temple fits your eyeglass frames, take a measurement of the width at the hinge area of one of your original temples. Also measure the width of the prong. Once you have done this, you can compare the measurements you have taken with the measurements I have indicated in the Measurements section below. MAKER MARKINGS

The MPN is customarily printed or embossed on the inside of left temples. This temple has no MPN marks.

ITEM CONDITION

There is a deep cut in the plastic right below the hinge area. Other than that, this temple is in good condition. I don't believe this damage affects the structural integrity of the temple. You can see this damage in the last picture I have posted. The temple has been thoroughly washed; steam cleaned, polished and buffed to a beautiful finish.

SIZE/MEASUREMENT

Temple length: 140mm or 5 1/2".

The width of this temple is 1.58mm.

The width of the prong is 1.25mm.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION::
They were found in some plastic bins that were inside a storage unit that was purchased at auction. The bins were filled with an assortment of different brand eyeglass frames, temples and lenses. They were not packed very well and were found piled on top of each other and had layers of dust on them. They don’t appear to be used but because of the way they were found and due to their vintage nature, I have listed them as used. I believe they are the remnants of an old optical shop. I recently found out that there was a Ray-Ban Manufacturing factory that went out of business or production and was closed down long ago that was located in some town near San Antonio, Texas. I think these Ray-Ban items I acquired might have belonged to someone who worked there. Also, the items that are not properly marked may be seconds or product that wasn't up to standards to be sold or something like that but that’s just a guess.

The authenticity of the Ray-Ban items have been verified by a Ray-Ban Dealer I sold numerous items to on another online marketplace. I also did a little research on B&L Ray-Ban and verified that these are authentic by the markings. They have the correct Mfg. marks on them. Some Ray-Ban items do not have a Manufacturer’s Mark because the markings were mistakenly scrubbed off while being washed. These were manufactured in the 80s to early 90s.

RETURN POLICY
Please contact me within 14 days of receiving your item to request a refund. Buyer is responsible for return shipping and the item must be received in the same condition as sold.

UNCLAIMED RETURNS
If an item is unclaimed or undeliverable and returned to me by the carrier, you will be notified by email. You will have three business days to respond and pay an additional charge to resend the item. If the additional postage charge is not paid after three business days, the purchase price minus the original shipping and handling fees will be refunded.
