Fused glass stud earrings with sterling silver

These fused glass and sterling silver stud earrings, have been inspired by the wild rushing rivers in Northern Scotland. Made using hand cut layers of white and clear glass and sterling silver. Special powdered chemicals have been added between the layers of glass before fusing, and once subjected to extremely high temperatures in the kiln, reactions take place that cause the bubble effects. Sterling silver ear posts have been attached with special UV adhesive, for a permanent bond.

No two pieces are exactly the same.

These earrings come with sterling silver and plastic bullet stud backs on them for comfort.

The collection was inspired by my riverside walks in the Highlands of Scotland. Following icy cold and clear waters, as they charge and whirl over rocks, sculpting and forming them as the rivers race to the sea.
