The waters around Britain are home to some amazing whale and dolphin species. This print features just some of the more common or iconic species. Each animal was hand drawn and coloured with watercolours, inks and pencil. Some of my favourite elements of this picture are the lovely textural details where paints have been allowed to splodge and bleed into each other giving the animals their markings. The whales and dolphins are of course mostly shades or grey and they are on a white background. The names of each species are listed at the bottom of the print.

This is a pretty and elegant design that will appeal to children as well as grown up animal lovers and it is ideal for a nautical themed room or for anyone lucky enough to have a home by the sea.
