Your Sterling Silver Jewelry can be hand washed in hot water with dish detergent, Dawn, blue works great. *Important immediately **PAT** dry with a soft cloth.* Keeping your Sterling in the Plastic Bag it came in when not being worn will slow tarnishing. To restore the brilliance use a polishing cloth. Perfumes, Lotions, bleach, chlorinated Water will accelerate the tarnishing.

The chains are all accurately measured end to end *including the clasp*. This is industry standard so you can measure accurately when ordering. Lay the chain full length, use a measuring tape for an easy, accurate measurement, don't forget that the clasp is part of the measurement. (Doubling the chain and measuring will give you an incorrect measurement)

Does Sterling Silver tarnish?

Sterling Silver does tarnish on a gradual basis. If it is a sudden tarnish that is most likely a chemical reaction. This can be caused by perfumes, colognes skin lotions, in addition bleach, chlorinated water, like hot tubs swimming pools, and Sulphur products. Rhodium plated sterling silver will resist tarnish, there is one listing that includes all Rhodium plated sterling silver chains.

Sterling Silver is comprised of 92.5% fine silver. That is what 925 means. The other 7.5% can be different metals. Often used is copper. Copper tarnishes more quickly then other metals, but gives a color you may be used to in Sterling Silver. Some manufacturers use other metals that can cost more then copper, but don't tarnish as quickly. Commonly used in the better quality chains is Zinc. Zinc is a very hard white metal, these chains have a very white appearance. Lower quality chains, I don't carry, use nickel, often the cause of allergic reactions. This listing shows 2 small Stirrups with a 24" Sterling Silver Rolo 2.2mm chain, no clasp in the back. You can request some other chain styles. To choose a different chain, choose "no chain" in the options drop down menu and then purchase a cable 2.2mm, cable 3mm, or curb 2.7mm or larger chain from the Dragons Fly Designs "Sterling Silver chains" listing. You can choose shorter then the 24" but it will need a clasp in the back, as it takes 24" to fit over most heads. You can also choose the "no chain" option and have the two stirrups put on a black satin cord that looks like the cord used in the last picture of the single stirrup pendant.

The last two pictures show matching earrings and the single stirrup pendant on a black satin cord. These two items are not sold in this listing they are for reference.
