The Bee Family
This is one of my best selling bottles in galleries and at fairs. Perhaps, because every one of us loves the idea of family, working together?
Bottle measures approximately 2 ¼ inches in diameter and 5” inches tall without cork.
All bottles are slip cast in handmade molds made from antique milk bottles. Slip cast in white earthen ware, then modified with a metal rib tool where original lettering is fully or partially removed. Once trimmed and stamped, bottles receive stenciled slip designs. After bisque and glaze firings, I add modified antique graphic iron water slide decals (with my own bee spin) for a final firing. Corks add functional options for your kitchen or bath.
Bottles are food safe and can be used for: honey (fancy up your breakfast table), lotions, bath salts, cut flowers or just pretty on a shelf.
A great gift for that beekeeper in your life.
Earthenware is best sink washed. If you must, an occasional top rack dishwashing won’t hurt. Microwaving of earthenware is NOT recommended.
