DO THE PORPOISES STILL CALL TO YOU?

Porpoise Island was an 18-acre Hawaiian-themed amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Every year, the owner would go to Hawaii to audition young entertainers to play at his park during the summer. The park featured a Polynesian revue, bird and porpoise shows, and a deer petting zoo. In the theme parks TV commercials there were women dressed in Hawaiian garb (grass skirts, bikini tops and leis) doing the hula. Their tag line was, "The porpoises are calling you." There was a barn with a Porpoise Island painted roof that directed you to turn left into the facility. This is another magical place that’s gone forever but if you were lucky enough to have seen it here is a bit of the past to have as a reminder. From what I have read Belle Island Village was being built there but is in a holding pattern due to lack of funds.
These stickers are in excellent unused condition. The Fasson crack and peel backing has never been removed. They would look great framed hanging on a wall or in a shadowbox collection of vacation memories or a scrapbook. This is new old stock not a reproduction and has been in storage since the 70’s. The size of this sticker is 14.25”L X 3.75” H.
