Build a scale model of the famous ancient Roman Colosseum from paper! The Flavian Amphitheater, this famous Roman landmark, is an elliptical amphitheater in the center of Rome in Italy. You can build a model and play with four separate pieces or join them into one structure.

ASSEMBLY TIME - at least 12 hours

PRINTED KIT - this paper model kit is delivered unassembled, in a flat kit with all the necessary details printed on 18 sturdy A4 size paper sheets. You will need to cut, fold and glue the details according to the set-up instructions.

Things which are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). A pointed stylus, tweezers and scissors might be helpful.

This will be a delight for a more experienced modeler. We recommend our kits for anyone from age 14 as building work requires patience, advanced motor skills and ability to read assembly diagrams and instructions. Younger modelers will need adult support and supervision.

It is the largest amphitheater in the world. The Colosseum could hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology.

Probably these pre-cut models are better for kids and generally beginners in paper model building since they contain less details and no cutting is needed - just folding and gluing:

Paper is sturdy enough but definitely not thick, it's easy to score and cut with a hobby knife (X-Acto or similar). It's not so easy to use scissors as some details are quite small and delicate so we recommend cutting with a knife. We recommend using a white glue (PVA, Elmer's or similar). You can use paper strips or ear picks for gluing tools.

Very nice paper model kit. I didn't realize when ordering that the seller was in the UK so didn't allow adequate time for it to arrive before the occasion where I wanted to gift it to someone, but that's my own oversight. Seller was very courteous in answering my query about when the item might arrive.

This was bought as a gift for my daughter and son-law for their first year wedding anniversary (paper) and delivered directly to their address so I haven't actually seen item for myself but they are over the moon with it and I know it arrived within the specified delivery period so for that reason I would use seller again.
