"Pulled Alexandrite" is a term used to describe a method of creating lab-grown alexandrite gemstones.

In this method, a synthetic crystal is grown using a process called the Czochralski method, which involves melting a mixture of materials in a crucible and then slowly pulling a seed crystal through the melted material to create a larger crystal.

To create "pulled alexandrite", a mixture of aluminum oxide, beryllium oxide, and chromium oxide is used in the melting process to create a crystal with the same chemical composition as natural alexandrite. This crystal is then carefully cut and polished to showcase its color-changing properties.

Pulled alexandrite is chemically and physically identical to natural alexandrite, and can be an affordable alternative for those who cannot afford a natural alexandrite gemstone.

The material is completely the same as best varieties of the genuine Alexandrite - Russian, Brazilian or Rhodesian. The color change is from the green in daylight to purplish red in incandescent light.

Same quality natural Alexandrite is extremely rare and much more expensive than Diamond, especially stones bigger than 3-4 Carats.

The crystal grown by vertically pulled (from melt) method is known as Czochralski pulled. The cut stone quality is AAAAA - as high as possible.

Beautiful color change and perfect size. Glow bright red under UV light as expected. I'm very happy with them and they'll look great as part of my wedding ring! In my photo, they're the smaller stones, the center larger one is a sapphire from another place.
