This unique art glass dish/bowl/ashtray was most likely made in the 1960s. It has a beautiful amberina color and a very unusual shape -- a ruffled/scalloped rim that is folded over on two sides to make it a bit triangular.
The pontil at the base indicates that it was hand crafted.
Unfortunately, there is no maker's mark to indicate who produced this unique piece of glass.
This item would be quite eye catching on an end table or coffee table holding your favorite candy or mints. It would even make a good ashtray or catch-all trinket dish.
It has a solid weight of one pound and 1.4 ounces.
This dish/bowl/ashtray measures approximately 6-5/8" long by 5-1/2" at its widest point and 2-5/16" at its highest point. The round base has an approximate diameter of 2-1/4".
No chips, or cracks. There are a few tiny indentations in the glass and some black color around the pontil.
Overall, a very pretty, creative, and unique piece of art glass.
