Olive Wood, Varnish
This stunning olive wood beads are handmade in Bethlehem, The Holyland. Normally used to make rosaries, we wanted to make the beads accessible to jewellery designers and crafters to make their own special piece. Olive wood is a gorgeous material with many thick lines and patterns running through the wood grain. These beads have a slight varnish coating to seal in the beautiful colour. The varnish is clear to enhance the colour, but the beads are not dyed.
They are all hand made which means size may be slightly different [0.5 over or under the size].
These beads have a large hole. Approx 1.8-2.5mm. This is great for anyone who wants to use hemp or thick cord. For malas and knotting, use seed beads as spacers instead.
**Please note: Due to the handmade nature of these beads, each bead will be different. They are more organic and not perfectly round. You can tell they were truly hand-crafted :) Since this is a natural product, some beads will be more patterned than others, but we always make even mixes when stringing. **
