Custom and personalized orders

I maintain a collection of hundreds of yarns for a varied palette of colors & textures; each new project is an adventure & custom orders are welcomed (over 1/3 of the items I sell on Etsy are custom orders, so you'll be in good company)! I love special requests! Please let me know about the perfect knit you've been dreaming of to see if I can make it just for you! Note: All customizations (color, length, warmth, etc) will be in my own, signature style and stitches. If you're looking for something that I don't specialize in, then I will happily refer you to another etsy artist. :) I begin work on custom orders once purchase is completed.

Most of my items are stretchy, especially widthwise. If my knits are hung for storage, they will eventually become longer and thinner. If you would like to preserve the initial width more easily, then please store by folding or laying flat on a horizontal surface. Because of the flexible quality of my hand knits, all measurements are approximate.

For all of your CricketsKnits hand knit purchases: Spot hand wash as needed in a sink using warm water and liquid soap of any kind. Rinse under the tap and then lay flat to air dry. Please no machine washers or dryers unless specifically indicated for a particular item's description. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To better maintain initial sizing, store folded or flat on a horizontal surface (drawer or shelf). To lengthen and make more narrow, fold and hang left dangling. Gravity will change the shape over time ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some of my special yarns will catch if exposed to certain surfaces such as unfinished, rough wood or Velcro. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pls contact me if a stitch gets pulled out of place and is a dangling loop.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I am happy to ship directly to a gift recipient. I will include: A business card from me with my contact info as well as a photo of Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac wearing the shawl that I made for her. A small separate notecard with a few words of your choice hand written on it, such as "Happy Birthday, June. Love, Dan" Please let me know via the checkout message what words to hand write. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Or if you prefer to pass along gifts directly, please let me know in checkout message and I will include an extra blank notecard for each item, for you to write a message of your choice (the notecard states that the item was made by me and has my contact info in case the recipient has questions)
