I love this pattern for a baby girls dress which comes in two sizes with instructions for creating the dress in either a 3 or 4-ply yarn. I especially like the openwork theme across the skirt section which is picked up in the bodice giving it such a delicate look!. As this pattern was issued when yarns were becoming standardised, you should be okay using a modern 3-ply or 4-ply wool in place of the vintage, but work your tension square to see if a change in hook is needed to meet the tension requirements stipulated in the pattern.

Either 3-ply or 4-ply wool
3.00mm hook for 3-ply
3.50mm hook for 4-ply
3 buttons
Narrow ribbon

MEASUREMENTS:
To fit chest: 18 [20]ins
Length from shoulder: 12 [13]ins
Sleeve seam: 1½ [1½]ins

TENSION:
3-ply- 12 tr. to 2 inches (5 cm. approx.)
4-ply- 10 tr. to 2 inches (5 cm. approx.)
