Materials: stainless steel, forged steel

This cheese slicer is forged and twisted by blacksmith Jason Watkins from steel stock and finished with baked-on canola oil. Handle is 3/8" thick. Wire is stainless steel and VERY taut. Perfect for a dinner party or the cheese addict in your life.

The item you receive will be very similar to the one in the picture, but all hand-made items vary.

6 1/2 - 7 inches long, 3 1/2 - 4 inches deep. The cutting wire is just over 4" long. I recommend using a 4" wide cutting board to ensure the wire goes all the way through to the board.

Such a cool slicer, feels great in the hand. I had to try it out right away. goes thru hard and soft cheese, even cubed up my butter for a baking project. Feels authentic, not too heavy and just really like an heirloom piece. The oil seasoning is perfect and it feels durable. the packaging is honest and charming. I'm going to order a few more as gifts! There's something about using a tool that is handmade, from hand of the maker to the hand of the user that can't be duplicated in mass-made objects.
