BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE POODLE ART PRINT

Lovely vintage Poodle dog print which was carefully removed from a book about dogs. This is the actual 1953 book page, not a reproduction. It measures 8 by 11 inches and is in very good condition. Note very light creasing and the reverse side has text.

Edwin Megargee is best known for his portraits of purebred dogs. His animal portraits truly showcase each animal’s personality. In the tradition of the pure-bred dog portrait, his dogs are typically posed to show off how they conform to the breed standard.
Megargee also painted horses, cattle and cock-fighting scenes. The running greyhound logo for the Greyhound Bus Co. was designed by him. Several of his game-shooting scenes appeared in "Field & Stream" throughout the 1940s-50s.
