This steampunk digital doll pattern bundle will let you sew an intricate pirate costume for your 18 inch doll. It includes Pirate Slops, a Pirate Shirt, a Captain's Vest and a First Mate Vest.

Flamboyant adventurers, sailing the airways in their steam and wind powered ships. Good-hearted rogues, roving the world in search of daring adventure and fantastic riches. These are the Steampunk Pirates.

This steampunk digital pattern will let you sew front fall pirate pants, a pirate shirt and a choice of a Captain’s Vest or a First Mate Vest your 18 inch doll. Designed to fit American Girl®, Our Generation® and Maplelea® dolls, these pieces coordinate with other KeLibu Steampunk Pirate patterns. Make the Slops with cuffs for a Captain or First Mate outfit, or without cuffs for a Deckhand.

Not into Steampunk? That’s ok. These pieces work equally well for traditional pirate outfits. You can even give them a modern twist for a whole new look!

All the pieces included in this bundle are also available individually.

Supplies:

Pirate Slops

- 1/3 yard/metre of mid-weight cotton, baby corduroy, linen, wool or blends
- Scrap of coordinating leather or vinyl
- 4 x 4 inch piece of lightweight interfacing
- 3 x 3/8 - ½ inch buttons OR rivets
- 3 sets of sew-in snaps (not needed if you are making buttonholes)
- 23 ½ inches of thin cording
- 12 x 1/8 inch eyelets and eyelet setter (Optional)


Pirate Shirt

- 1/3 yard/metre of light-to-mid-weight cotton, silk, polyester or blends
- 9 x 9 inches of lightweight interfacing
- 22 (20 for variation) x 1/8 inch eyelets and washers/jump rings and eyelet setter OR
- 20-22 mm jump rings
- 41 inches of thin cording


Captain’s Vest

- 16 x 10 inch piece of light-to-mid-weight faux suede or faux leather
- 16 x 6 inch piece of lightweight cotton or blends for lining
- 5 x 5 inch of lightweight interfacing
- 10 x 3/8 to ½ inch buttons, rivets or gears
- Scrap of lightweight vinyl/leather or ribbon (optional)
- Other embellishments such as ribbon, cord, studs, pirate charms etc. (optional)
- 14 ½ inches of thin metallic cording or braid (optional)


First Mate Vest

- ¼ yard/metre of light to mid-weight faux suede, cotton, silk, polyester or blends
- Embellishments (optional) – Ribbon, brads, buttons, jump or split rings, lightweight vinyl/leather, charms

Note: if you would like to make your vest with the same embellishments as those shown in this pattern, you will need the following:

For Vest with Ribbons & Brads:

- 35 inches of 5/8 inch wide ribbon
- 10 ‘regular’ sized brads – around 3/8 inch wide
- Pattern markings on First Mate Vest B pattern pieces (can also be used if you are making A sized vest)

For Vest with Ribbons & Split Rings:

- 15 inches of 5/8 inch wide ribbon
- 15 inches of 1/8 inch wide ribbon
- 14 split rings that are 7 mm (approx. ¼ inch) wide
- Pattern markings on First Mate Vest A pattern pieces (can also be used if you are making B sized vest)
