Highlights
The perfect hummingbird feeder for when a hanging feeder isn't an option. These individually hand-made ~18-inch tall "stake" hummingbird feeders work beautifully in potted plants.
These are NOT ant-proof. I only recommend them for use in flower pots where, if needed, you can create a moat by placing the pot in a shallow dish of water.
While attractive, these feeders were created with practicality in mind. The design discourages bees and wasps, and each set comes with two dishwasher-safe feeding jars to allow for easy changing out of food.
Simply fill the food-grade plastic jar with a sugar-water mixture at a ratio of 1 part sugar to 4 parts water, place it in the copper cup and enjoy! (Complete usage instructions come with each feeder.)

All pieces are solid copper which is left unsealed to allow the development of a natural patina.
NOTE: My feeders hold less food than the average hummingbird feeder.
Here's why:
In order to be effective at deterring bees and wasps there must be NO sugar water on the outside of the feeders where the insects can get to it. Sometimes hummingbirds are a little messy and will drip food while feeding and the easiest way to be certain that there isn't a build-up of the sweet stuff on the feeder tops is to change the food containers DAILY.
Larger containers would result in wasted sugar water.
All this being said, if there are no bee issues, most people find that 1-3 hummingbirds empty one jar of food in about 2 days (depending on the time of year, other available food sources, whether one bird is capable of defending the feeder from other birds, etc).*
*any hummingbird feeder should be changed every 2-3 days to ensure freshness.
