I am disappointed in the quality of the item. The pricing seems quite high for the plastic planets that feel rather cheap.

Sid, I am sorry you are disappointed. You are not paying for the planets, but the stainless bars, plus the original design work. The planets are just added for a delightful glow at night that move around putting kids to sleep. I have had many many buyers loving this mobile and giving it 5 star ratings. The work to balance and make mobiles is an art form that has taken years of practice to do well.
