Since these are natural shells, each one will have its own special coloring, pattern, and sometimes little imperfections formed by nature. Don’t worry though—every shell is hand-picked and inspected to make sure it’s water-tight, safe, and suitable for your crab. We also smooth out any rough edges around the opening to protect your hermit crab's delicate eye stalks. These shells are wonderful! We have a new purple pincher hermit crab. We heard these are their favorite shells. After it comes back up from under the substrate, we hope it changes into one of these! I ended up ordering 4 various sizes. I ordered two at first, but they seemed a little on the larger side. I thought I was measuring correctly, but I guess not. So I ordered two more smaller ones. Shelly should be set for a while now! The shells were shrink wrapped, then wrapped in paper, bubble wrap, and wrapped tightly in a plastic mailing envelope. A little treat bag with some freeze-dried minnows came included! Plus a cute hermit crab sticker. There was also a discount code the seller helped me use for my second order, because their website isn't up and running yet. Shipping was quick as well. We will be back! Thanks so much! :)
