How are your art prints shipped?

We have two ways we ship our art prints. Prints that are 8×10 and smaller are mailed flat inside thick cardboard envelopes. All larger sizes are shipped rolled in a triangular kraft mailing tube. Our triangle tubes use thick cardboard, and also include an internal print holder to suspend the print in the middle of the tube. We use sustainable packaging, and all prints are wrapped using recyclable brown paper.

What is a giclée art print?

A giclée art print is a print that was made using a specific inkjet printing process (spraying) that uses high quality archival pigment inks. These pigment-based inks have a wide range of colors that allow for precise reproduction of artworks. Unlike dye-based inks, pigment inks are water-resistant, more resistant to fading/yellowing, and degradation from UV light. The end result is an art print with vibrant and accurate colors that can resist fading for generations.

When will I receive my item?

All of our prints are made-to-order. Once a purchase is made, our current production time is 3-5 business days before the item will ship. However, this is to account for any possible delays, and most of our orders normally ship within 1-3 business days. We offer free ground shipping (2-5 business days) in the United States with tracking provided.

Do you ship internationally?

No. Currently we only ship within the United States. However, we may consider international orders in the future.

How should I frame my rolled canvas print?

Our rolled canvas prints come borderless and are intended to be placed directly into a frame. You can do this two different ways. You can place it directly into a frame with glass, or you can place it in a frame without glass by dry mounting it (adhering it to a backing board like foam core). If you are not sure how to dry mount a canvas print, there are many good tutorials online, or you can take it to a frame shop and have them dry mount it for you. Our personal preference is to have it dry mounted to a foam core backing board and placed in a frame without glass. This not only creates a very smooth and polished look, but it also makes the frame very light weight and easy to hang due to the lack of glass and light foam core backing.

Our giclée art prints are made using archival inks and premium-quality archival printing materials. The print comes in different sizes, and you can choose from three different material options: Archival Matte Paper, Somerset Velvet Paper, or Rolled Canvas.

ARCHIVAL MATTE PAPER
This is a heavyweight 230 gsm archival paper that has a smooth surface and matte finish. It offers excellent color reproduction and excels at capturing fine details. The paper is acid-free so your print won't yellow over time, and features an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging.

SOMERSET VELVET PAPER
Our Somerset Velvet paper is 100% cotton rag, and acid-free for a long print life. It is heavyweight 255 gsm, and lightly textured with a velvet-like matte surface. Somerset paper has enjoyed an excellent reputation for quality since the 1700s, and is a favorite choice among artists that provides a classic and high-end feel to your art print.

ROLLED CANVAS
Our rolled canvas prints are made using thick archival-grade canvas that is acid-free and pH neutral, with a subtle satin finish. The print comes borderless, and can be placed directly into a frame in the dimensions offered. If you plan on stretching your canvas and need a border added, just send us a message prior to purchase and we will be happy to add one for you.

We offer free ground shipping in the United States. This item is made-to-order, and the production time to print and ship the art print is 3-5 business days. However, this is to account for any possible production delays and most of our prints normally ship in 2-3 business days.

PLEASE NOTE:
There can be slight color shifts from what you see on your monitor vs. what you see in person. This is due to variations in hue shifts for different monitors. The more accurate the colors are on your monitor, the more accurate the physical print will be to what you see online.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
To create our vintage art prints we work with digital scans or photos of the original art, and use our experience as photographers and designers to make the prints found in our shop. This includes digital restoration (for damaged artworks), enhancements, cropping and resizing, digitally upscaling the artwork, and sometimes creating completely new designs. The artwork is then printed using a giclée printing process, and shipped to our customers.
