This standard dwarf iris was purchased years ago, but I am fairly certain that it is the variety 'Be Dazzled'. The yellow blooms have purplish-brown markings on the falls. These sweet litte Iris bloom in early May here in Missouri. They are slightly fragrant, but perhaps only the fairies are close enough to the ground to enjoy the sweet scent. They need little care and will gradually increase in number. Divide and replant before they get so crowded that blooming is diminished. Typically every 3 to 5 years. Plant very shallow. The top of the rhizome should be visible or barely covered with soil. Plant too deep and the rhizome may rot.
