Unique and fabulous Vintage MCM 1950s 1960s Painted Yellow Fishnet + Bamboo Collapsible Basket Style Purse with original little black strap that snaps to keep the bag expanded. Possibly Made in Japan after WWII according to research into similar pieces

When collapsed with handle down, the bag frame is approx 8 3/4" high x 9 wide across bottom
Expanded, total drop is approximately 13" high including handle and
and 13" long and 9" at widest

Very good vintage condition. Some minor wear to paint in places as well as paint bubbles and flaws there since manufacture. There is also some oxidation on metal snaps. Otherwise, all components are functional and it is usable with care. The visible tie offs appear to be original to the construction of the piece. All in all, this is such a fantastic bag, Wonderful to display, collect, etc.
