Shedding is a natural characteristic of wool rugs. It's most noticeable during the first few weeks as loose fibers work their way to the surface. Though New Zealand wool is one of the finest quality wool which sheds very less.

✅ How to Minimize Shedding:
• Vacuum Gently: Use a low-suction vacuum or handheld device. Avoid beater bars or rotating brushes that can pull on the fibers.
• Limit High Traffic at First: Reduce foot traffic during the initial weeks to allow the rug to settle and release excess fibers gradually.
• Shake Out Lightly: Take the rug outside and give it a gentle shake every few days to remove surface fuzz.
• Do Not Over-Vacuum: Excessive vacuuming can increase shedding. Once or twice per week is ideal during the first month.
• Let It Breathe: Wool needs air circulation. Allow the rug to sit uncovered so fibers can settle naturally.
