I have never stitched Blackwork embroidery before, how difficult is it?

If you have stitched counted cross stitch before then Blackwork embroidery is very easy to pick up as it is essentially made up of lots of straight backstitches. If you are completely new then all my patterns come with a 1 page guide that includes a list of what you need and how to get started.

What frames do you use for framing?

The frames you see in the photos are flexible woodgrain embroidery hoops or sometimes called Flexi hoops. They are made of plastic and are flexible and stretch over the finished piece.

A PDF file is a file you download that you can open on a pc, tablet or mobile phone. All my pattern files come in two versions - printable version where you can print out the pattern on your home printer and Tablet/mobile friendly version which are high resolution meaning you can view the PDF file on a tablet, pc or mobile device and can zoom in and out and not loose quality of the chart.

Modern blackwork embroidery pattern of repeating geometric Seahorses surrounded by seashells, seaweed and coral. This design is stitched in a dark blue floss with the centre seahorse stitched in turquoise but can easily be stitched in a color of your choice.

All stitches are simple backstitch (no fractional stitches). Pattern difficulty: beginner.
