Art Deco vase by Boch Frères Keramis, cobalt blue floral decoration on a crackled green background - Charles Catteau era, Belgian ceramics, La Louvière

This glazed ceramic vase by Boch Frères Keramis embodies the floral vitality of Belgian Art Deco. Model 268 with decoration 1121, it features a subtly elongated ovoid silhouette, enlivened by a stylized floral motif in relief, in cobalt blue tones on a delicately crackled celadon green background.

The decoration, in low relief and outlined in black, evokes cloisonné techniques. Typical of Keramis production from the 1920s and 30s, this geometric floral design reflects the influence of Charles Catteau, the factory's artistic director. The enamel, still glossy, retains all its visual freshness. A discreet restoration to a chip on the neck is visible only upon close inspection (see photos).

A beautiful collector's item or interior decoration for lovers of modernist ceramics.
