If you've always wanted to learn to spin yarn, here is your chance! Included is one new handmade wooden top whorl drop spindle, 2 ounces of carded alpaca of your color choice from our much-loved alpacas, directions that I wrote, and a handmade bag to carry it all in. The spindle is unfinished. For environmental and health reasons, we've decided to sell our spindles in their natural state with no added stains or gloss.
Fine details: The wooden top drop spindle has a 2 1/2 inch whorl and 12-inch stick. The weight of the spindle is approximately 2.1 ounces. If you'd rather have a bottom whorl, just ask, as I also have those made. However, I wrote the directions for a top whorl spindle.

The seller responded very quickly to my message about wanting a bottom whorl spindle instead of a top whorl, made sure I was ok with the instructions being written for top whorl, and shipped the kit out extremely quickly. The fiber and spindle are gorgeous, and I am thoroughly enjoying spinning some of Daniel’s very soft fleece into some very lovely soft brown alpaca yarn. The instructions are well-written and come with cute hand-drawn illustrations. And everything comes in a lovely little bag which is very convenient for carrying around. I highly recommend it!
I got this as a gift and it was perfect! My friend only uses alpaca wool and loved that it came with info about the alpaca it came from! So cute!
