Coral reefs are the heart and soul of the ocean. It is impossible to describe the beauty of the reefs. It has to be seen! Back in my scuba-diving days, my adventure on the Great Barrier Reef has been the most profound experience of my life. The rainbow of all possible colours and shapes, all alive, pulsating and vibrant! I have seen a lot of beautiful places on our planet, but the most intense and emotionally driven experience was diving in the Great Barrier reef…

This set features a unique pink coral necklace and earrings. I tried to recreate the ultimate beauty of the reef :).

Precious Japanese Momo coral gemstones are presented both in the necklace and earrings.
The coral cabochon in the pendant has an unusual shape - an asymmetrical, bent rectangle. It is highly domed and of a gorgeous pink colour. The coral is very well polished and is set into a silver bezel with a solid, hammered back and wavy edges.
A large black sterling silver coral branch is "growing" on top of the pink coral gemstone. It has a wavy shape and is decorated with sparkling cubic zirconia gems - as if little bright bubbles of water are coming up to the surface of the ocean.

This pendant has an unusual tubular bail, that is placed in the middle. I have created a special, sandy texture on the tube bail - to add more dimension and interest to the pendant.

The pendant hangs on the natural black leather cord (3 mm in diameter, dyed), that is finished with silver cord ends, a parrot clasp and a 7 cm (2.8 inches) extension chain.

The earrings have a similar design, with textured curved bars, small black silver coral branches and gorgeous pink Momo coral gemstones. The gems are oval cabochons (10x6x4 mm) that are set into silver bezels, with decorative wavy edges and solid, hammered backs.
The earrings findings feature solitary cubic zirconia stones and a secure latch back closure.

All metal parts in this jewellery set are in sterling silver. All silver parts were heavily oxidised (blackened) and then polished back.
