I thought it was real walnut. I thought the same upon realizing a different product I had ordered was not real walnut, and I was misled by the listing title. The seller cancelled that one. I didnt realize, but the desk I had ordered was also not real walnut (I didnt put together that it was the same seller, or I would have figured out it was the same situation...). I wish the seller would have alerted me that my other order also wasn't real walnut. The desk is not perfect quality but is fine quality, if you're ok with pine, it is a decent desk. I just have no real use for it, and the blame is partly mine. Mostly, I wish the listing title was more clear that it is pine wood with walnut finish. I should have dug deaper though, and that part is on me.
