Coif Sewing Pattern - Digital PDF Pattern A4 and US Letter - Fitted Historical Cap - Bonnet - Medieval Headwear

This is a Digital PDF Pattern to create a Coif, or a historical close fitting cap. The cap is made from a center and side pieces. The edges are is finished with Binding or Bias Tape, which extend off the Coif’s edges and become ties.
The PDF comes in two paper sizes A4 and US Letter. The pattern is 4 pages, which can be printed and assembled in a row to form the pattern pieces needed to create the Coif.
This pattern is inspired by historical items and can be made and worn with a historical intent. It can also be made and worn as a fantasy accessory, or fashionable item. Method and Materials will be the best means to make a historical Coif, or something of your own design. This pattern is also great for Scrap Fabric.
This Pattern comes in 3 sizes - Small, Medium and Large. Each size is approximately 3 cm larger than the previous. The Coif in size Small is approximately 37 cm / 14.5 in around, size Medium is approximately 40 cm / 15.7 in around, and size Large is approximately 43 cm / 16.9 in around. I recommend measuring around your head, from temple to temple, to roughly determine your size. It is also advisable to make a mock-up.

Materials:
Fabric - 50 x 70 cm / 20 x 28 in piece of fabric for a Coif with matching Binding finishing. 35 x 50 cm / 14 x 20 in piece of fabric for just the cap, which does not include Binding.
Bias Tape - Bias Tape is optional. Please choose either self-made Binding or purchase 180 cm of Bias Tape for your Coif.
Thread - I recommend choosing thread in a matching color.
