I offer here a self-made replica of the Boomerang phaser in the style of the movie Star Trek - First Contact. This is not a billo filament 3D print replica. A resin printer with a resolution of 9k was used here.
The phaser is equipped with electronics and plays sound and music. The level indicator lights up in different colors. The emitter lights up when fired, etc. I could go on and on about all this, but take a look here:

This working phaser is truly something special. The sound effects are taken straight from TNG. It feels authentic and instantly familiar without being over the top. The added music is a thoughtful touch and I really appreciate that you can turn it off whenever you want. Even hearing the TNG “computer voice” brings a quiet smile 😀 The metallic paint finish feels smooth, balanced, and solid in your hands. Absolutely incredible built. The weight and quality of materials is superlative, and the love and attention to detail with the construction, electronics and programming can’t be understated. The item is excellent. The craftsman had three different models and his directions guided me to my preferred item. The phaser is well-crafted and nearly identical to a real working prop collectible I purchased 20 years ago. The heft isn’t quit the same, but it is close. The detail is spot on, though my prop used green for lights in both rows. This was a delightful difference. The biggest favorable differentiator maybe the sounds programmed into this phaser for the 16 different settings. Love it. The light emitter is sharp as well. I haven’t played around much with the music yet, but I must commend the craftsman’s 4 YouTube videos regarding his phaser design, use and build. My only nieg is that there were several times after I inserted newly charged batteries where the weapon didnt seem to fire consistently. Hasn’t recurred.
