𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣:
Hans Hansen, born in 1884, was a Danish silversmith who established his own workshop in Kolding, Denmark, in 1906 after training at the Carl M. Cohrs Silverware Factory. Initially focusing on hollowware and flatware, the company later gained recognition for its refined modernist silver jewelry, largely due to the influence of his son, Karl Gustav Hansen, who joined the firm in 1932 and took over its running after his father's death in 1940. Karl Gustav Hansen introduced a successful line of functional jewelry called "Future" and collaborated with other notable designers like Bent Gabrielsen Pedersen, Bent Knudsen, and Allan Scharff, cementing the firm's place in mid-century Scandinavian silver production. The Hans Hansen company was acquired by the Royal Scandinavia Group in 1991 and subsequently merged with Georg Jensen, under whose name many of Hansen's designs continue to be produced today. Pieces from Hans Hansen are typically marked with "HaH," a small "H" within a larger "H," or a facsimile signature "Hans Hansen."
