Seller's description

The poster depicts the Norse Norns, who determine a person's fate. The snake (Ouroboros) symbolizes the cycle of life and death, and the clock the flow of time. There is also an opinion that the remaining sand in the clock symbolizes the end of the 19th century, since the poster was painted just before the beginning of the 20th.

It is reproduction of an 1899 poster advertising calendars by Karl Fromm. He was one of the largest printers of pocket calendars in Europe in the late 19th century.

Artist — Koloman Moser.
Size 57x87 cm.

📦 The poster is sold without a frame, rolled up. It is sent in a cardboard box and a protective bubble wrap.
