This fun, take-anywhere toy is great for quiet time for little ones. It’s a wonderful matching game for learning colors and training memory. The cookie jar is crocheted while holding 2 strands together for nice stiff sides; it's still soft but holds up well.

There is minimal sewing involved in this pattern. The only part you’ll be sewing is attaching the knob to the lid (and the embroidery on the cookies of course).

Materials
• Worsted Weight Yarn
• Crochet Hooks: 3.25mm, 3.75mm, 6mm
• Fiberfill (tiny bit)
• Tools: Yarn needle, embroidery needle, scissors, straight pins, safety pin

Size
Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. The Cookie Jar is about 5” across and just under 4” tall. The cookies are about 2” across. Using thinner yarn and smaller hooks will yield smaller items. Using thicker yarn and larger hooks will result in larger items. An individual crocheter’s yarn tension can also be a factor in sizing as well.

Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner to intermediate crocheters and beyond. The crocheter is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help.
