And seven film presets answer the question every film pack gets asked — does it actually look like film? Each of the seven is built as its own tonal architecture: a different curve, black point, contrast, micro-contrast, skin response and colour, so a consumer negative looks like a consumer negative and a faded print looks like a faded print. They carry the same grain as the base, so the pack reads as one set — and none of them darkens the frame.

🎞 LIFESTYLE BASE — retro analog, 90s vibe, grain · 20 presets
Numbered 01 to 20. Variations on one film rendering rather than separate families — muted greens, soft warm highlights, a lifted black point and the gentle grain of a scanned negative, from light and pastel to dense and moody. The quickest way in is to open a photo, click through them in order and keep the two or three that fit the way you shoot.

🎞 FILM SERIES — seven renderings, seven architectures · 7 presets
Numbered 21 to 27, in the same style as the base. What each one does:
• 21 — the everyday consumer negative: short tonal scale, cyan in the shadows, yellows held back
• 22 — the pastel professional negative: lifted matte shadows, soft contrast, mint in the greens, warm-pink skin
• 23 — the hazy 90s rendering: soft contrast, whites held back, teal shadows and warm highlights
• 24 — greens turned to sage, warm skin kept, a quiet matte scale
• 25 — the vintage print: soft contrast on a lifted black point, built on Lightroom's own Modern 04 profile
• 26 — monochrome: long tonal scale, deep blacks, skin lifted the way a red filter would
• 27 — midday light tamed: highlights pulled back, shadows opened, warm shadow and highlight tones, a soft vignette

The black and white preset is a real channel-mixer conversion, not a saturation slider pulled to zero, so it works on RAW and on JPG alike.

The four Film Tone tools are the useful trick for the lifestyle base: put Slide or Consumer Negative under preset 07 and the matte 90s look turns into a dense film scan without changing its colour. Deep Blacks does the same in one move. Grain Off removes the grain of any preset in the pack.

The three Point Color tools work on one colour at a time and leave the rest of the frame untouched — skin toward the Fuji rendering without the orange, foliage into cool olive, blue sky into cyan with the clouds kept. They need Lightroom Classic 13, Lightroom 7 or Lightroom mobile 9 and newer; older versions simply ignore them and the rest of the pack works as usual.

Two ways to get to film. The lifestyle base gives you the 90s look in one click; the film series gives you a rendering with a character of its own, and the Film Tone tools let you move between the two — matte to dense, dense to matte — without touching colour.

The film series and every tool leave your sharpening and your white balance alone. Whatever you had set — from your camera profile, your own defaults, or after noise reduction — you still have it after applying. We left those settings out on purpose, so the pack drops into your workflow instead of overwriting it.

Every file is built on the current Lightroom process version, so nothing renders differently because it was made years ago and never updated.

📸 PRO TIP / PLEASE NOTE

Every photo has its own light, exposure and white balance, and your camera matters too. A preset is a starting point, not a filter — some images will need a small adjustment afterwards. That is exactly what the tools are for: nudge the exposure a third of a stop, add or remove grain, correct the light, and you're done.

Two things worth knowing. Grain is measured in output pixels, so on a 45-megapixel file it reads finer than on a 24-megapixel one — use the Grain tools to match it to your camera. And set Export Sharpening to Low or off: applied after grain, it makes the texture crunchy.
