These are a little snug in the width, for me, but I sometimes wear a 9.5 and sometimes a 10, and these are a size 9 to 9.5. So, they are probably sized accurately. I hate wearing synthetic anything, and these do appear to have insoles and strap of natural materials, as described. I should know for certain once I have worn them barefoot. the soy-derivatives in most synthetic materials irritate my skin, and other synthetics are just uncomfortable. Natural insoles and uppers are the best thing you can do for your feet and they are shockingly hard to find. Cherish shoes like this when you find them. The only thing better for your feet is when the entire sole is breathable, like the straw sandals with no rubber stuff on the bottom. I bought a pair of those too, though those seem a bit wide.
