Commemorative Bone Needle With Display Box - Wolf Branch Homestead's 1,000 Subscriber YouTube Milestone (Unique Piece One Of A Kind!)

Item highlights

  • Materials: wood, bone, cordage, hinge

Seller's description

This one of a kind piece was handmade to commemorate the 1,000 subscriber milestone of our YouTube channel called Wolf Branch Homestead. We so enjoy making bone needles, but this is the very first time that one is being offered with a display box. Locally milled Western Cedar box with a hinge from a local family owned hardware store over a century old, troughed to fit a handcrafted Whitetail deer leg bone needle with a double twisted Poplar cordage through it. The needle is etched on one side with "1,000 SUBS" and on the back the initials "WB" to show the special purpose of this needle. Wood-burned on the inside with JULY 2ND, 2025 the date the needle itself was made (1k mark reached a few days prior on June 29th) and a little note of what the needle is for. The back of the box is initial signed with our pawprint mark as well. Due to the special and one of a kind purpose for the crafting of this needle, it is not recommended for use - only for display. The needle has a light coating of coconut oil to smooth it. Roughly 7 3/4 cm long

It isn't just a collection piece because of the special purpose for which it was made. This is the first time the true entire process for this bone needle and display box is shown in a lengthy video from start to finish (https://youtu.be/Zfne-Z1qCuc?si=sxfK-nK1phQQU4vF). You will get to see the exact needle and box being made. You don't have to know our channel to appreciate that your new needle and its box are one of a kind and crafted with care. The person who gives this needle a new home can not only say it was made for a momentous occasion, but that they have the matching video for it. You can also know that your purchase will inspire us to continue our crafting and our channel, and will enable us to continue our work and caring for our beloved Homestead. We so greatly appreciate your consideration of adding this needle to your shelf.

Please note this is the first time I have made a box like this. It was quite a learning process. The hinge is a bit loose so that it will close flat, so please do open and close the box with care. The needles we have made before, but never a box for it.

Thank you so much for your interest.
