Each monogram style in Whipped Monograms uses a different whipped embroidery stitch, creating beautiful two-tone detail with a modern twist. If you've not tried whipped stitches before, you’re in for a treat – they’re simple to learn and fun to stitch, giving your lettering extra texture and depth while letting you play with colour combinations to make each piece uniquely yours.

This PDF pattern includes four complete alphabets (A–Z), one for each style, to personalise gifts, homeware and meaningful keepsakes. You’ll also find an ampersand and plus sign for adding a thoughtful “and” to your designs.

HOW IT WORKS

This is a digital file so you’ll be able to download it as soon as your payment clears, usually within minutes.

1. Log in to your account on the Etsy website (you can’t download from the Etsy app).
2. Add the pattern to your basket and check out using your preferred payment method.
3. Go to https://www.etsy.com/your/purchases and click on the download button.
4. Or check your inbox. Etsy sends a download link to the email address you signed up with (it may be in your spam folder).
5. Open the file using your preferred PDF reader (Adobe Acrobat Reader is free at www.adobe.com/acrobat/pdf-reader.html).
6. Print the design at home, transfer it to fabric and get stitching.

ABOUT THIS PATTERN

The monograms are 2½ – 2¾ inches (6-7cm) in size.

The pattern includes:

• A list of the fabric, DMC thread colours and needle types and sizes you’ll need to complete the embroidery.
• Instructions for four different ways to transfer the design to fabric.
• A crisp, clean and precise line drawing of the design at the right size for embroidering. It’s also given in reverse if you want to create an iron-on transfer.
• The artwork is set up to fit on A4 or US letter-sized paper for easy printing on a home printer.
• Clear and easy to follow embroidery instructions that tell you which stitch, thread colour and how many strands of thread to use.
• Helpful tips to make it even easier for you to replicate the design.
• High-quality, full-colour photos to refer to while stitching and zoom in on to see the stitching up close.
