Let's be honest. Accountants, not adventurers, designed the original key fob for your 4Runner. It has the structural integrity of a potato chip and was probably born with pre-cracked plastic. It’s time to stop wrapping it in electrical tape and get an upgrade that actually matches the toughness of your truck. This isn't just a replacement; it's a resurrection.

! IMPORTANT – READ BEFORE PURCHASE: THE TRANSPONDER SWAP !
To make this upgrade, you must perform an organ transplant. Your vehicle's immobilizer chip (transponder) is molded into the plastic of the original factory key head.

You will need to carefully cut the chip away from your factory key fob. This is a delicate process that requires patience.

This process WILL PERMANENTLY DESTROY your original key fob housing. There is no going back once you begin. It is recommended to have a second fob before starting this process.

We are not responsible for any damage to your key or transponder during removal. We recommend watching a few online tutorials before you start. Proceed with confidence, but also with care.

Once the transplant is done, you're left with a key that can finally keep up with you.

Engineered specifically for the 5th Generation Toyota 4Runner (2010 - 2019) with a standard turn-key ignition.

This case is for the standard "G" key.

NOT compatible with Push-to-Start / Smart Key systems.

This is a replacement case and buttons only. The electronics (circuit board, battery, and transponder chip) are not included. You must perform the "organ transplant" described above from your original key fob.

Was definitely tedious to get the old chip out but definitely helped to have a Dremel to slowly sand away the plastic. Love the look and feel of it.
