I like the premise of this, but it doesn't reassuringly "snap" into the seat back. It works just fine for a phone, but isn't strong enough for an iPad. It's a little too loose for my liking, but at this price point, I'm not upset.

The BMW Tablet Holder for Backseat fit my 2026 i5e40. The kids also like them so they don't have to hold their tablets on long trips. There was a little bit of wiggle but it holds a tablet and hasn't fallen out or warped in the Texas heat. I do like that it slides in/out of the receptacle without having to squeeze the locks, the OEM holders do which causes issues cause once the OEMs are in they do not come out easily.

Nice product and of decent construction, but sadly a lot of vertical movement present once located within the holder. Perhaps rectifying this in future models might be an idea.
