Handcrafted vintage Japanese women’s silk kimono 1950s/1960's abstract design

This is a beautiful vintage Japanese silk women’s kimono probably from the 1950's/1960's. It is in excellent vintage and wearable condition. The silk is soft, supple, and light, and the lining is a red silk and a pink silk. The silk in this kimono overall is soft and drapes beautifully.

The kimono fabric design is an abstract design in a very dark chocolate colour with shades of green. There is also woven through the silk itself a floral pattern that can be seen up close.

There are a few small marks (very difficult to see in real life) but in general the condition is excellent for a kimono of this age.

This kimono looks even more amazing and gorgeous in real life and would be lovely to wear as a robe at home. It would also make a wonderful display or design inspiration. This kimono is from our collection personally sourced in Kyoto, Japan many years ago.

Handle with care as this is a delicate fabric.
Do not wash. Dry clean only.
Store folded flat with acid free tissue paper.

2. Please understand that vintage kimono are rarely without any small marks or stains. We will do our best to ensure that these are mentioned in the description of the item.
3. Vintage kimono are stored sometimes for a long time so may have a musty smell. This can be improved by airing the kimono on a dry and sunny day, and dry cleaning by a trusted and experienced dry cleaner.
4. Kimono should be stored flat in acid free tissue.
5. Do not wash. Dry clean only.
