🔥 How to Apply – Standard DTF Transfer Instructions
Step 1: Pre-Pressing Your Fabric
✅ Pre-press your garment at 300°F for 3–5 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture.
Step 2: Applying the DTF Transfer
✅ Position the transfer image facing up (white side touching the fabric).
✅ Press at 300°F for 10-12 seconds with medium pressure (60psi).
✅ For 100% polyester, press at 285°F.
✅ For sensitive fabrics, lower the temperature to 260°F.
Step 3: Peeling the Transfer
🔥 HOT PEEL immediately after pressing (within 5 seconds).
⚠ Issues peeling? If the transfer isn't peeling smoothly, try:
Lowering the heat press temperature to 260-285°F.
Letting it completely cool before peeling.
Ensuring your heat press is properly calibrated (above 320°F can cause adhesion issues).
Step 4: Final Press for Longevity
✅ Cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet.
✅ Re-press for 4-5 seconds to improve adhesion and switch to a matte finish.
✨ Specialty Transfers: Glitter & Glow in the Dark
💎 Temperature: 265 - 320°F (start low and increase if needed).
💎 Pressing Time: 13-16 seconds.
💎 Peeling: Allow to completely cool before peeling.
💎 Important: A heat press with heavy pressure is required for best results.
📌 Handheld Press Users (Cricut Easy Press, etc.)
Standard DTF transfers may work with handheld presses, but press for at least 30 seconds
with maximum pressure.
Specialty films (glitter, glow-in-the-dark) require a regular heat press for proper application.
