What kind of packing materials does Le Chalet by May use?

Most of the materials used in packing items for shipment are obtained second hand and are reused. When we must purchase new materials, we buy recyclable / reusable materials. We strive to keep box sizes as small as possible (without putting the item at risk) to reduce the carbon footprint of shipment. Examples of second-hand packing materials used may include cardboard boxes, packing paper, newspaper, gift wrapping materials, bubble wrap, packing paper, etc.

Is expedited shipping a possibility?

Yes. If an item is needed faster than the item’s stated shipping duration estimate, please reach out to Le Chalet prior to purchase and we’ll see if we can make it happen (additional expedited shipping charges may apply)

Will my item be shipped with insurance?

The majority (95%+) of items purchased domestically are shipped insured if they are shipped priority mail. If an item is low dollar and at low risk of damage, then Le Chalet by May may choose not to insure the item to keep costs for both parties to a minimum. All international shipments will be insured.

Can I reserve an Item?

If you would like to reserve an item for any reason, you may contact me and I can offer a 24 hour window for you to finalize your purchase and prevent other buyers from buying it.

Will my item look exactly as pictured?

Le Chalet by May strives to show as realistic of a depiction of each item as possible, while also striving to represent each item’s true beauty / potential to inspire your inner interior designer. There are factors we simply cannot control however, such as variations in the buyer’s computer / phone brightness, contrast, screen size, saturation, lighting where the item will ultimately be displayed, type of light bulbs, etc. Potential customers will need to take this into consideration prior to purchase.
