Art Deco Platinum Diamond Cocktail Watch Hand Wind 1930s Swiss Made 17 Jewel

We have for sale a Stunning Art Deco Diamond Cocktail Watch in Platinum case with later metal Montal Strap. Beautifully chased detail on the sides of the case. Off white dial with typical Art Deco numbering, which we believe to be original. The shoulders of the case have movement which allows it to wrap around the wrist snuggly.

This is a gorgeous watch, in great condition, which won’t be for every day use but as a piece of jewellery it is a great investment. A replacement strap of the period could only enhance it further. However it is perfectly wearable as is.

Number of Diamonds: 80 Diamonds in total to face and shoulders. Consisting of 10 around face of watch; 12x2 (24) on first fan; 12x2 (24) on second fan; 11x2 (22) on ribbon edge before strap.

Mark: All Platinum; 442 along with various inscribed dates ranging from 1930-1968 on inside back cover.

Movement: Hand Wind; 17 Jewels; Swiss Made; Maker Unattributed.

Dimensions: Case Diameter (inc Crown) - 21mm;
Lug to Lug Distance - 28mm;
Lug Width - 10mm
strap Length- 180mm which increases as it stretches

Condition: Watch runs at present. Overall very good condition, commensurate with age and use. All diamonds appear secure in their setting. We would recommend the watch was serviced. As with all vintage and preloved jewellery it may show some signs of wear and patina. Please study the photos as they form part of the condition report. Some of the photos are close up to show detail. Please check dimensions for accuracy.

This is an antique item and whilst we try to include all major and visible flaws, some may escape our attention. If you buy this item you are agreeing to the fact that it is NOT PERFECT and will possibly come with many years of wear and tear.
