This digital download includes STL files for a modern, sculptural lamp inspired by the flickering flame at the top of a torch, match, or candle. The lamp’s design uses parametric modeling to create a unique form featuring horizontal fins arranged at a slanted angle, allowing you to rotate the lamp and adjust the direction and effect of the light.

What’s Included:
STL files for all lamp components, carefully arranged across 36 print beds for efficient printing.
Numbered parts (1 to 100) for easy identification and assembly.
Built-in support structures modeled directly into the files for simplified post-processing.
Assembly guide to help you through printing and putting the lamp together.

What You’ll Need to Complete the Lamp:
To fully assemble and use this lamp, you’ll need a few additional components and some basic electrical knowledge:
19mm Diameter Steel Tube – The lamp is designed to slot securely onto a 19mm metal tube. Any length can work depending on your needs, but I recommend approximately 1.8 meters for a standing floor lamp.
G9 Lampholder & G9 Bulb – This design works well with a compact G9 light fitting. You’ll need both the bulb and holder to provide illumination from the center of the structure.
Wiring & Plug – You’ll need a basic understanding of wiring and an appropriate plug for your region to safely power the lamp.
Custom Base – The lamp base is not included in the STL files, so you’ll need to create or source your own. This allows you to customize the stand to suit your space and style.

These additional elements give you the flexibility to personalize your build, but please ensure that any electrical work is done safely and in accordance with your local regulations.

Important Notes:
The STL files are for the lamp structure only; the base is not included, allowing you to customize the lamp’s mounting or stand.
Support material is modeled into the files and will need to be manually removed after printing. Most support pieces can be removed by hand, but some may require a knife for stubborn areas.
For optimal results and easier support removal, printing at 0.08mm layer height is recommended.

Printing and Assembly:
This design has been optimized for reliable printing and minimal cleanup, delivering a clean, modern aesthetic. The numbered parts and pre-orientation help simplify the assembly of this complex, multi-piece lamp.

The build turned out great! The steps were easy to follow. Though I had some issues with the tolerances, I'd suggest that the second step should go until the 35th piece, so that the third step starts from 36. This helps with the insertion, as a big piece with tight tolerances becomes unwieldy.

Absolutely stunning model! The lamp is outstanding and elegant - I love how the light shines through it, casting beautiful shadows and lined patterns on the walls. It’s a true piece of art, a statement piece that brightens any room it stands in. That said, it’s not an easy print. It took me over a week to print all 100 parts and carefully glue them together one by one. The structure is quite delicate and fragile due to its intricate design, and it used about 1kg of filament in total. For the base, I used threaded lamp pipes (M10, 11.8mm x 4*30cm), a Pendant Light Ceiling Fitting (E27), and an E27 to E14 socket adapter. I also designed and printed a wide lamp base and a matching shell for the pipes (19mm diameter). The cable runs cleanly inside the pipes.
