Highlights

This is a gorgeous set of THREE co-ordinating vintage French stoneware jugs.
All hand-made from authentic terre cuite from the famous Grès du Berry factories in the NE of France, probably from the 1950s or 1960s.

These jugs or pitchers are known as 'cruches' in France and would have been used for wine or water on every kitchen or dining table in rural communities all over France.

The first jug holds 1.3l and measures 7.5" (19cms) with a diameter of 4" (10cms),
and weighs 1.28kgs. This has a high glaze finish.

The second jug has a capacity of 1l and measures 7.25" (17cms) with a diameter of 4" (10cms) and weighs 0.86kgs. This has a glazed finish too, slighly less shiny than jug 1, but still matching.

The third, and smallest, jug hold 0.5l and is 5" (14cms) in height with a 3" (7.5cms) diameter and weighs 0.550kgs.
This has a high glazed finish similar to jug 1, with slightly different design.

All three would look fabulous on any Autumn or festive dining table, and equally look good as vases for floral arrangements to add French country style to your home.
