FEATURES
>Its very simple and easy to use!
>New AntForge Plugs can be used to plug the tubing ports directly or be used to plug the tubing.
>It has 2 different styles of test tube attachment methods(internal and external) and they both have rubber o-rings that seal them perfectly.
>Theres 3 exit points, 1 centered beneath each window that will fit regular aquarium tubing(3/16 inch or 5mm) inside.
>The lid will only go on/off one way - theres a notch in the back you use to open it. In the front of the lid i modeled in an angle and that has to be inserted first, then the rear lowered just like it was opened to close it. I have yet to have a single escape!
>The small ring in the middle is for honey.
>Yes, the steps actually do help the ants get into the test tubes.
>The glass slides are actually really tough but they can crack and break if you hit them hard enough. No glass edges are exposed. That doesnt mean you shouldnt be careful with glass regardless! Handle with care. please.

or 3.25" x 3.25" x 1.5" in decimal
Those dimensions do not include the external test tube attachment point which extends another quarter inch out of the wall.

This is the first ant farm iv made completely myself and im happy to share it with fellow ant lovers!
Since i live in Florida, fire ants are the most prolific in my area so thats the size of ant i intended it for initially. However, its so well sealed that even the tiniest of ants can not escape!
I am actively using these myself to start my own colonies and so far theyre great!

This project arose from a desire to be able to create my own ant farms for cheaper than they would cost me to buy from the internet. Only problem was that acrylic sheets and plexiglass are waaaaay too expensive for me. I cant afford all that nicely cut plexiglass and acrylic so i had to come up with a budget way of windowing my ant farm because its all so darn expensive. So I 3D modeled and printed the base and lid using PETG as the filament and glass microscope slides as the windows.
And so, this ant farm was born!


My Experience With The Ant Farm So Far:
>I am currently using this ant farm with 2 types of fire ants(roughly 18 queens), some sort of smaller ant thats about half its size(3 of these queens), some black ants i dont know that are the same size as the the fire ants(2 of these), and 3 trapjaw queens and their first brood. So far its working really well for all of them!
>On the subject of the small tubing(5mm) - Im certain the tubing used for this outworld is too small for my carpenter ant queen to travel through and it looks like the trapjaws cant really turn around in the tubing but do pass through it. However, its PERFECT for fire ants and anything smaller. I have over 160ft of it strung up interconnecting 51 different satellites and 2 colonies of fire ants(my guilty pleasure).
>About half of my outworlds have some dirt/ground from outside iv put inside and the ants(all of them) like to gather some of it up and put it around the entrance of the smaller hole into the test tube which is the one i put water in for the colony to start in(On a side note i use tin foil to cover this tube to block out the light for the queen).
