Mean Well Power Supply Enclosure - LRS-450 Series

Make your electronics and lighting projects a bit more elegant, presentable, and (possibly) safer with our decorative power supply enclosure!

While designed around and tested with the Mean Well LRS-450-12, this enclosure will work with with any Mean Well 450 series power supplies such as the:
LRS-450-5
LRS-450-12
LRS-450-15
LRS-450-24
LRS-450-35
LRS-450-48

In theory, these enclosures should also work with any power supply that has the same venting arrangement and dimensions of: 8.86" L x 4.88" W x 1.38" H (225.0mm x 124.0mm x 35.0mm).

The Design:

The enclosure is made up of two halves which simply sandwich your power supply in between. The rigid front grommet allows frictionless cable passage and helps further obstruct / protect / conceal the terminal block, thus lowering the chance of accidental shorting and injury. There are four screws bosses on the underside which allow secure fastening of the bottom cover to your power supply (only truly needed if your power supply will be mounted in a dynamic environment or if you want to hang it on a wall or upside down). There are also four corner bosses that accept #4 sheet metal / wood screws which allows you to securely mount the enclosure to most surfaces.

With this new version, I have the ability to tailor your top cover to fit in a way that suits your intended setup / use case:

LOCKING: Top Cover is only able to be removed by breaking it off - great for public / semi-public installs where you want security assurances / evidence of tampering.

REMOVEABLE: Nice, clicky snap-fit that allows you to wiggle the corners of the cover free whenever necessary. Best for non-horizontal installs like on a wall or upside down, and if you suspect you might be making changes to your wiring configuration at some point.

LOOSE: Cover does not secure itself to the bottom half - or if it does, barely. Best for setups where you’re changing the wiring constantly, and/or moving your power supply between different projects.

PLEASE NOTE: The new V2.2 version does have a hole / direct access to the voltage adjustment potentiometer so you don't have to take the cover off to make voltage adjustments no matter which fit you choose.
