Samue Jacket Sewing Pattern: Unisex Japanese Chore Coat (PDF Pattern)

This paperless DIY Unisex Samue Jacket Sewing Pattern is easy to sew and includes instructions for cutting narrow and wide width fabric. The pattern includes elements of the traditional Japanese Samue Jacket, also known as a Kimono Artisan Jacket. The Samue Jacket is like a chore coat with its many pockets and comes from the Zen monks daily outfit for doing their chores with slim tubular sleeves and side ties to keep the jacket closed and can easily be made with any fabric and easily sewn with a sewing machine.
The pattern is written with woven, non stretch fabrics in mind.
The pattern includes instructions on how to make a Samue Jacket from fabrics
110-120cm / 43-47" and 140-150cm / 55-60" wide.
Sizing for this garment is very simple and the garment is a comfortable fit for most.
You can make a Samue Jacket that will fit a chest circumference up to 140cm / 55".

Due to the simplicity of the pattern you will not need to print any pattern pieces. We use the fabric to extract the pattern all you have to do is measure, fold, press and cut. Measurements are easily made with a ruler or tape along the straight pattern pieces.
There is a printable neckline template within the documents. This is on 1 sheet of A4 if you wish to print it but you can make this pattern marking without the printout if you want to aswell.

You will enjoy just how easy it is to sew. Nearly all the seams are straight.
